The study was based on the experiences of four widows of both sexy, between the ages of fifty-five to sixty years. who work in David city, and their oportunities to restore a love relationship, through the qualitative paradigm of a phenomenological descriptive caracter. For data compilation, we apply techniques such as open and semistructured interviews, focus group, verification of the results and conclusions by the participants. About thirty categories related to the study were analyzed and codified. The research was developed over a period of eighteen months and the results are related to the objetives stablished. Keywords: Widowhood, middle aged adults, challenge. El estudio investigó los retos, que enfrenta una persona viuda de mediana edad ante la posibilidad de rehacer su relación amorosa. Se conoció a través de cuatro entrevistas a personas viudas de ambos sexos entre las edades de cincuenta y cinco a sesenta años que laboran en la ciudad de David, las experiencias ante la oportunidad de reformar amorosamente sus vidas; por medio del paradigma cualitativo de carácter fenomenológico descriptivo. Para la recopilación de los datos se utilizó técnicas como: entrevistas abiertas, semi estructuradas, grupos locales y seguimiento mediante la verificación de resultados y las conclusiones por parte de las personas participantes. Se codificaron y analizaron cerca de treinta categorías relacionadas al estudio.
