ABSTRACT
The present investigation addressed the problem that provokes rebellious behavior in
students of the basic cycle of the intermediate level. For this, a case study was developed
at the Institute of Basic Education by Cooperativa Aldea el Progreso, Mazatenango,
Suchitepéquez. The sociocultural and family context in which young people live
determines the personal capacity to face the crisis of adolescence, to propose their vision
of life and of the personal future.
To carry out the study, the qualitative method was applied for which a broad review of
the scientific theory on adolescence and the natural rebellion of that age was carried out,
which served to analyze the cases investigated, the surveys that were applied to teachers
and students; also the in-depth interview that was obtained with the director of the
educational establishment and analyze the phenomenon.
Among the main findings of the research, the problem that causes rebellion in
adolescents are: lack of attention, family disintegration and domestic violence. Another
drawback is the freedom that parents give to their children, who are not interested in the
life, present and future of adolescents, and finally bad friends in the environment.
The research concludes that the lack of affection and little attention to the activities
carried out by the adolescent creates deep emotional confusion in them. Parents,
educators and authorities, must sow and challenge the moral and psychological situation
of adolescents. It is important to indicate to the adolescent that he has all the support of
the parents to feel; dear and loved. It is also good to create that bond between father and
children. |
