This study offers the results of a qualitative research; developed in Aguacatón
School, District of Barú. It has the purpose of knowing the participation, limitations
and strategies that the family uses in the educative process of their children.
The research deals with the ethnographic design because it inquired the meaning of
costumes practiced in the school and research -action convenient to analyze e
educative events with the purpose of understand and improve the educative practice.
The results of the diverse sample or maximum variation were collected through a
sub structure e interview and the structured observation (no participants) among the
main results and conclusions has determined that the family participation in the
educative process of their children is very poor and passive due to the distance
limited time, economic and health problems. They use other rigid raising children
systems and strategies for their children s education. They consider that the social
strategies are necessary for the active involvement of their families. That s why they
suggest orientations to strengthen motivation in the participation belonging sense,
family strength and team work.
