Sumario: ABSTRACT Education is a process that must respond to the educational needs that the context warrants, which is why this graduation work has as its essential objective to determine the main post-pandemic challenges for the pedagogical area of the National School of Commercial and Basic Sciences. attached to the municipality of Mazatenango, department of Suchitepéquez, mainly considering aspects of the time in which teaching is taught, the applicability of the emerging CNB and the effect on educational quality as a consequence of the contingency during the 2020 and 2021 cycles. In this sense, the research developed has a mixed approach through the application of the concurrent triangulation design (DITRIAC), which was used to corroborate results and carry out cross-validation between qualitative and quantitative data; in order to take advantage of the advantages offered by each of the methods. Its basis originates from the simultaneous collection of data from teaching professionals and students; to then give way to the analysis to explain the results obtained, highlighting as a first a comparison between the two and relying on the theoretical foundation to validate or discredit the information. The data reflected the existence of multiple challenges within the institution, where the lack of interest on the part of the students predominates, a problem influenced by the short time allocated for each period, as well as the lack of knowledge about the topics to be developed during the cycle, practically the teacher must start an explanation without much support. Therefore, it is prudent to carry out activities that contribute to the improvement of teaching, because professors have the responsibility to ensure that education is developed efficiently and in search of compliance with educational quality
