The analysis of the service in the care centers for the elderly was developed through two phases: evaluation of the current situation of the service and improvement of the service processes. The first phase stands out for presenting a comparative evaluation of Panama versus certain countries in the world in terms of their level of service in the care of the elderly. In the second phase, service engineering was used as a key tool to identify and propose a plan to improve the level of service offered in care centers for the elderly. Finally, this research proposes a change that implies optimizing the level of service and thus improving the image of these centers. Thus, making an important social contribution that can be projected to other nursing homes in the rest of the country. |
