Sumario: This research is on teaching and assessment for listening comprehension and oral skills of the English language from tourism students of Francisco Morazán High School. It analyzes some factors that intervene and influence negatively the listening comprehension and the oral skills of students of this high school. It is amazing that most of the public schools students do not speak English after several years of study of this second language. An accurate analysis of the following variables with their items was made: Learning strategies with seven items teaching resources with six items, affective strategies with five items and evaluation listening - comprehension and oral skills with five items. Besides, a variety of activities from which students and teacher might choose according to their needs and interests was applied. The survey technique for the interpretation of results was used. For this technique, a questionnaire, and a type of scale questioning by Like it was applied to 55 seniors´ students of tourism and to ten teachers. All of them from Francisco Morazan High School. The data for analysis and interpretation was gathered by using the instrument's graphics and tables. These instruments show the different percentages of each of the research variables. It is important to stress that the results obtained from the students do not match with the ones obtained from the teachers. This research of blended focus in which statistical measurement and quantities were used. This way non-experimental modality is justified because it is going to respond to its goals. A transverse dimension, since data is elicited immediately, works effectively to analyzes the methodological issues in the classroom. After the presentation of results, analysis and interpretations of this study, the main goal in the elaboration of this investigation was the teaching strategies. This study might be the guide of creation and interactive collaboration between teacher and students. We are sure that our contribution to the solution of this relevant problem of lack of oral production of the students of Francisco Morazan High School will benefit enormously the rest of the students of our country.
