ICTs are just the technological means we use to transmit and receive information, which combines information technology, microelectronics, and telecommunications, which allows us to create new technologies. While social skills, by nature the human being develops, according to Goldstein (1980) are the set of skills and abilities for the interpersonal construct and the solution of problems of interpersonal or socio-emotional nature, they range from basic social skills to advanced . For Goldstein one of the first social skills are: listening, initiating a conversation and maintaining it, thanking, among others, where social skills that the individual develops to relate to their social environment also enter, Goldstein describes a series of situations that he considers to have social skills. In this research I wanted to find the relationship that exists between both variables, where we check the H0 that says that there is no significant relationship between ICT and social skills. Students integrate ICT into their lives as entertainment and mean of communication, socialize, send and receive school work, however they socialize more through a computer than in person, which is where the intervention plan is focused to improve the social skills and make good use of ICT. Relación entre las TIC y las habilidades sociales en los estudiantes de XI° del Centro Educativo Guillermo Endara Galimany, el objetivo de esta investigación es conocer la relación que existe entre las TIC y las habilidades sociales de la población escogida, el tiempo que los mismos le dedican a las TIC ya sea socializando o informándose, bien es cierto que las tecnologías llegaron para quedarse y formar parte del diario vivir de las personas. Las TIC no son más que todo el medio tecnológico que usamos para transmitir y recibir información la misma combina la informática, la microelectrónica, y las telecomunicaciones lo que permite dar pasó a la creación de nuevas tecnologías. Mientras que las habilidades sociales lo que por naturaleza el ser humano desarrolla, según Goldstein (1980), son el conjunto de habilidades y capacidades para el constructo interpersonal y la solución de problemas de índole interpersonal o socioemocionales, las mismas van desde habilidades sociales básicas hasta avanzadas. Para Goldstein una de las primeras habilidades sociales son: escuchar, iniciar una conversación y mantenerla, agradecer, entre otras, donde también entran aquellas habilidades sociales que desarrolla el individuo para relacionarse con su entorno social, Goldstein describe una seria de situaciones que considera para tener habilidades sociales. En esta investigación quería encontrar la relación que existe entre ambas variables, donde comprobamos la H0 que dice que no existe una relación significativa entre las TIC y las Habilidades sociales.
