Sumario: During the preschool stage, is was to be expected that some children show certain kind of immaturity or a delay in their development. If the regular curricular plan does not balance them, the expected progress is going to be limited and it also will produce major school variations that will required remediation. With de interest of making a contribution to the education in Panama, and based on the decisive importance of these period in the prior development of the children and their learning school period, we propose a program of psychological intervention as a method for the stimulation of some basic skills to favor his or her level of maturity in order to prevent difficulties in learning. In this precise way, this investigation, with an experimental type wants to know about the effects of a psychological intervention in the maturity development of children. The theoretical framework considers approaches of different authors like Jean Piaget and Mabel Condemarin, who have been studied aspects of the maturity development of a child, explaining the nature of this process and its relationship with the school learning making contributions to the educational methods. This is an informative study with a quasi-experimental design. We had a sample of 28 students of the kindergarten level, with an Experimental Group of 14 students and a Control Group of 14 students. The investigation was done in three phases. The first one, of diagnostic evaluation, in which we applied two instruments of measurement: The Filho ABC Test and The Diagnostic Test of Basic Logical Math Concepts, also we did an interview to the parents as a complementary technique; the second one, the intervention or treatment, through which we execute the Program of Psychological Intervention in 12 sessions total, 2 per week with a duration of 45 minutes each; and the third , the appreciation, in which we did the evaluations prior to the intervention, we stablished the comparisons and analyzed the results with the purpose to determine the effectiveness of the intervention program.
