ABSTRACT
Many of the girls and adolescents do not understand the responsibility and consequences that entails an unwanted pregnancy, early pregnancy and the impact it will have on the lives of these, your son / daughter and their families. In Guatemala, according to Decree 17-73 of the Penal Code, commits an offense, rape or statutory rape who have sex with children under 14 years.
However, another central element of pregnancies in girls and adolescents are having sex at an early age with parental consent, which often are the result of misinformation and lack of comprehensive sexuality education. Therefore, the lack of guidance and access to contraception, sexuality and sexually transmitted diseases as taboo subjects, limited access to differentiated health (friendly spaces for adolescents) and the limited participation of parents, teachers and leader’s community to address the issue, has prevented the actions aimed at preventing pregnancies, rape and sexual exploitation are extended.
The methodology used to collect data is descriptive, important findings that were found were problems at home as a result or negative effect on making a decision without thinking of the consequences.
It is therefore necessary communication that should exist between parents and children is a way to strengthen the knowledge to lead a sexual life responsible for preventing pregnancies, rape, mental disorders, sexual education, full of freedoms and different stereotypes in personal life of every human being |
