Sumario: Currently, school-based education has been highly criticized by the inhabitants of society, since the scarcity of moral values in the student community has been increasing over time, which is why teachers are pointed out not to assume the responsibility of training in moral values to middle level students. From this problem arose the interest to study the formation in values in the middle level of education. The research process began as part of Practice II carried out at the Basic Institute by Cooperative of the municipality of Samayac Suchitepéquez and was continued during the Graduate Work course of the X cycle of the bachelor’s degree in Psych pedagogy. To carry out the research, participant observation techniques, document review and interviews with professors and students of said institute were implemented. It is deduced that the moral formation of the students is a task of the home environment which must be reinforced in the school environment, through the implementation of didactic strategies that place the student in real scenarios where to put into practice the values and good customs framed in respect mutual.
