ABSTRACT
The cultivation of Citrus x latifilia T. "Persian lemon" from finca Panamá, has a
homogeneous irrigation system within an area with heterogeneous soil
characteristics, for which the physical characterization of the soils at semi-detail
level, helps in the redesign of irrigation for cultivation.
The main objective of this research was to redesign the irrigation system of the C. x
latifolia crop. On which a set of methodologies or techniques and tools were used to
perform a semi-detail characterization of soils, from where the development of said
research started. Soil samples were raised or taken, to which their location was georeferenced, with a GPS, these samples were transferred to the laboratory of the
Centro Universitario del Sur Occidente CUNSUROC, for their respective physical
analysis (bouyucos method to determine the texture).
After determining the texture of each of the soil samples, a soil textural map was
made, which was used to take a sample (composed of 20 subsamples) of each of
the determined textures, said samples were sent to the FAUSAC laboratory, for their
respective physical analysis "Texture, Dap, % CC and% PMP".
With the data of the physical analysis of the soil samples sent to the laboratory, the
sheets, intervals, time and frequencies of irrigation were determined, data used for
the elaboration of maps, thus evidencing the behavior of each data obtained.
Likewise, infiltration speed tests were carried out within each determined textural
area.
At the end of the investigation, comparative tables were generated, with the
information obtained in the field, laboratory, office and administrative area of the
Panama farm (current and calculated costs of the management and costs of the
redesign of both the pipe change and the micro-sprinklers), this with the in order to
recommend based on the study carried out within the crop. |
