Sumario: The central subject of this research is the labor settlement since any small or big enterprise requires the human resource is a fundamental fact for an efficient development of the entrepreneurial activity. Due to the existence of the contractual relation employer-worker, it is natural that in any moment this relation finish and with it arises implications and complications of the labor settlement. Due to his or her ignorance the small entrepreneur often ends facing labor lawsuits and in the best of the cases solve them in the conciliation board. This reality leads us to propose like a general objective of this research, the evaluation of the knowledge relevance of labor settlement to improve its application in the small enterprises in the city of David. It is an investigation about a mixed focus (qualitative-quantitative) with exploratory and descriptive scope and non experimental design. About the sample. it was established by owners and managers of ten small factories located in the city of David, 80 collaborators of those enterprises, members of the conciliation board and the labor judges. Entrepreneurs and collaborators answered the questions of an elaborated questionnaires because the survey technique was used with that purpose. The interview was made to the members of the conciliation board and the labor judges. The instruments used to gather the data were the questionnaires elaborated to do this task, because we used like a technique the survey and interviews. The results of the investigation showed that most small entrepreneurs do not register the work contracts in the appropriate offices of the Work Minister and laboral Development, they do not know the procedure to calculate the benefits that their collaborators have and they express they are willing to get training for ground dismissal and labor settlement and the collaborators surveyed express the same way. Based on this need a proposal is developed like a practical theoretical and methodological guide with relevant aspects about labor settlement, that is useful for entrepreneurs, collaborators, and others interested in the topic
