Sumario: The purpose of this article is to highlight the groundwater concentrations in the regions of Panama, and to present the volumes of water extracted from wells used for purification in the provinces of Panama. Conflicts over water resources have increased in recent years; because of population growth, economic development, and climate change. Groundwater is used as a palliative to supply the population. Statistical records and reports from the National Aqueduct and Sewer Institute, and from Electric Transmission Corporation, served to reveal the results and spatial interpretation in the National Geographic Atlas and the Environmental Atlas of Panama. The results present concentrations of groundwater sources located in the Central and Western regions of the country and Coclé and Western side Panama predominate with 40%, for drinking human consumptionand for irrigation.
