El efluente de la laguna de oxidación de la ciudad de David actualmente es arrojado al río San Cristóbal. Esta agua,luego de ser tratada,posee propiedades y nutrientes que pueden resultar útiles en la agricultura. Cada litro arrojado al río se podría estar utilizando de una mejor manera.
