Sumario: The family Orchidaceae with broad diversification and speciation, is one of the largest families with more than 20.000 species. In Panama we found about 1,150 species of orchids, among the best known is Peristeria alata (Flower of the Holy Spirit). But little is known about the degree of specificity with which the host phorophytes and fluctuations in the levels of association with mycorrhizalfungi As this paper aims to identify levels of mycorrhizal fungi are associated with species of orchids Epidendrum difforme, Scaphyglotis bidentata, Encyclia stellata, and Oeceoclades maculata throughout the year and determine the type of association trophic, host trees in orchids, taking into account factors such as host tree (phorophyte), crustal structure, position in which he was the epiphyte on the tree in order to determine whether there is a preference for orchids under study for some phorophyte or a type of bark and phorophyte area. These results can help rescue and relocation processes of species or species reintroduction cases, and that having a clear idea of the preferences of the orchid species can achieve greater success in these activities favoring the survivalof species.
