Sumario: The training of the English-teaching teacher is essential to provide a quality education, develop linguistic and communicative skills, prepare students for globalization, and promote pedagogical innovation. Thereforethe present research underscores the need to address the challenges faced to ensure quality education that prepares teachers for the demands of a globalized and technological world.For this study, an exhaustive documentary and bibliographic review was conducted, involving a systematic search in academic databases in Spanish and English, digital libraries, etc. The results showed that the initial training of teachers is insufficient to respond to new bilingual educational models, highlighting the importance of curriculum updating, the development of linguistic competencies, and the integration of educational technologies in teacher training to achieve transformative education.
