RESUMEN: En el siguiente desarrollo investigativo se describen las condiciones de salud de la población salvadoreña y, con mayor detalle, específicamente del municipio de Jucuarán, departamento de Usulutan, el sistema de salud de El Salvador, incluyendo su estructura y cobertura, sus fuentes de financiamiento, los recursos físicos, materiales y humanos con los que cuenta, las actividades de rectoría que desarrolla el Ministerio de Salud Pública y Asistencia Social, y la participación de los usuarios de los servicios de salud en la evaluación del sistema. Así mismo, se realizaron visitas de campo y distintas entrevistas al personal médico, usuarios y autoridades municipales relacionadas con el tema de salud, con lo cual se pudo obtener distintos resultados. Como resultado más importante se obtuvo que el 85% de las personas consideran y están de acuerdo en lo que lo más importante es la implementación y fortalecimiento de servicios de salud en el municipio, para poder brindar una mejor calidad de vida a los habitantes del mismo y de municipios aledaños. Se recomienda a las autoridades en el campo de su competencia implementar la propuesta arquitectónica que incluye el programa de necesidades arquitectónico, para la reconstrucción de la unidad de Salud, el cual fortalecerá la atención en salud y que contribuya a mejorar la calidad de vida de la población de Jucuaran, Usulutan. Así mismo, que las instalaciones sean adecuadas para poder contar con un establecimiento que brinde atención médica eficiente y digna mediante espacios funcionales y agradables, que se aproveche la topografía del lugar para adecuar la propuesta y conocer las características climáticas para determinar los materiales y orientaciones adecuadas, y por último, se recomienda a las autoridades, principalmente a la Municipalidad y a los distintos ministerios, conseguir el financiamiento para realizar el proyecto.
ABSTRACT: In the following investigative development, the health conditions of the Salvadoran population are described and, in greater detail, specifically of the municipality of Jucuarán, Department of Usuluán, the health system of El Salvador, including its structure and coverage, its sources of financing, the physical, material and human resources it has, the stewardship activities carried out by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance, and the participation of the users of the health services in the evaluation of the system.
