The world is counting on wind energy to provide a sustainable energy source. Wind is abundant, clean and renewable, instead of fossil reserves that are widely distributed in the five continents. For this reason, we have designed an aerogenerator, called ELISA, the rotor has a parabolic dish shape which can capture and convert more kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical energy, and the rotor is made of polyurethane resin reinforced with carbon nanotubes, which is lighter and has better mechanical properties, in consequence this allow to optimize the energy production of the aerogenerator. |
