Sumario: This research project involves opening an electronic lock by reader Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology using the Arduino board. The operation of the system is to pass the card or RFID tag in front of the reader (no further than 3cm), if the card matches the code that will grant the holder of the office opening the lock will be held showing on screen the name of the holder of the office, otherwise a message indicating “unauthorized access” is displayed. The aim of the development of this system is to facilitate the entry of teachers to the office and purpose is to improve safety on campus offices. The methodology used for the development of this project involved the scientific method and especially trial and error because many of the connections and tests that were conducted were not covered in any book or other source of information.
