Sumario: Abstract Education is the pillar for the development of the countries, it is a process in which the human being is directly involved with contextual and significant learning, that is why the teacher must know what is his role as such; what are your rights and obligations both in the teaching-learning process and in the educational institution to which you belong. Based on the above, it is worth mentioning that, as part of the investigative process derived from the Supervised Professional Practice, a research study was carried out on the teaching role and the teaching learning process in the Basic Education Institute by Cooperativa de Aldea Tonquín II of San Antonio Suchitepéquez; the quantitative methodology was used, it was good to interview and survey students, teachers, parents and director of the educational establishment and based on the data provided and by the different opinions, it is worth mentioning the following findings: most of the teaching staff is unaware of methodologies and techniques that contribute to the improvement of their teaching work, do not attend training or updates and focus on the traditional methodology. In addition, there are no guidelines or statutes focused on an organizational environment that contributes to improving the pedagogical work of teaching and administrative staff. Currently, the educator must guide, guide and facilitate learning in students, in addition to having control and discipline in their work, in order to provide a quality education.
