Sumario: It is estimated that the internet of things (IoT) will play a substantial role in the development of new supply chain management paradigms. The integration of IoT technologies in the various phases of the supply chain will help solve the control, monitoring, and planning challenges that traditional supply chains maintain. In the specific case of food supply chain management, there are currently significant challenges arising from the complexity of handling and controlling perishable products. However, despite the potential offered by IoT, its integration into supply chain management is an issue that is still in its early stages of development. Reason why, this research explores the impact that the integration of IoT has on the management of the food supply chain, through a systematic review of the literature.
