Sumario: This research describes how the lack of training that teacher has, hamper student´s vocabulary in the classroom and how teacher should be conscious of the issue and to develop teaching strategies and resources to help students in their reading comprehension process, during the course of eleventh grade “A”, at Luis Alfonso Velasquez Flores Public High school in Managua. This research tried to identify causes of why students cannot develop the reading comprehension and how the influence of the vocabulary provokes difficulties in this subskill in the English learning process of the students. The participants were 20 students in age from 14 to 20 years and a teacher, to whom were applied different instruments such as observation guide, survey and an interview, in order to collect real information and triangular data that help to provide suggestion to improve this situation. This analysis contains the thoughts and words of some authors such as Bercie, the researchers Kamil, Meltzer and Burton. These people contributed in this study with the knowledge they had about this topic and some elements related to the problem covered in this research. According to this analysis, the influence of vocabulary, concrete learning materials, strategies and teacher lack of training to improve the reading comprehension process are the biggest problems in the classroom.
