El presente trabajo contiene los resultados de investigación realizada sobre el tema “Auditoría de gestión externa para la ejecución de proyectos sin fines de lucro ejecutados por Organizaciones no Gubenamentales (ONGs), en el municipio de Estelí”, cuyo objetivo general es de analizar el proceso de auditoría de gestión externa en la ejecución de proyectos no lucrativos. El estudio tiene un enfoque cuantitativo con implicaciones cualitativas, su diseño de investigación es de tipo documental y descriptiva. En la etapa de recopilación de información, se utilizaron las técnicas de entrevistas y la aplicación de una guía de auditoría de gestión de manera parcial, ya que se tomó para la evaluación del proyecto, uno de los objetivos específicos con su resultado.
Los resultados del estudio sugieren que además de realizar una verificación al presupuesto del proyecto, es necesario, evaluar el cumplimiento de los objetivos a través del rastreo de las actividades e indagar el cómo se realizaron. Este estudio comprueba que es necesario verificar los resultados planteados en el proyecto, en base a criterios de eficiencia, eficacia y economía. Para que los informes de auditoría le sean de utilidad a Organizaciones sin fines de lucro e Instituciones Gubernamentales en la toma de decisiones, debe presentar los resultados de una evaluación del “cómo” se cumplieron los objetivos y resultados esperados, en base a los criterios antes mencionados.

ABSTRACT
The present work contains the results of investigation made on the subject “Audit of external management for the execution of projects without aims of profit executed by Organizations nonGubenamentales (ONGs), in the municipality of Estelí”, whose general mission is to analyze the process of audit of external management in the execution of nonlucrative projects. The study has a quantitative approach with qualitative implications, its design of investigation is of documentary and descriptive type. In the stage of information compilation, the techniques of interviews and the application of a guide of audit of management of partial way, since it was taken for the evaluation of the project, one of the specific objectives with their result were used.
The results of the study suggest besides to make a verification to the budget of the project, is necessary, to evaluate the fulfillment of the objectives through tracking of the activities and to investigate how they were made. This study verifies that it is necessary to verify the results raised in the project, on the basis of criteria of efficiency, effectiveness and economy. So that the audit information are to him of utility to Organizations without profit aims and Governmental Institutions in the decision making, it must present/display the results of an evaluation of “how” the waited for objectives and results were fulfilled, on the basis of the criteria before mentioned.
