Sumario: The research analyzed the different becoming stages the , asosiación de Educadores Chiricanos has come trough since its early days when it was known as the movimiento 22 de Septiembre. The movement stans up as a teacher's reaction in the 70's against the new transformatíons brought about by the Reforma Educativas the new educational policies supported by the government of General Torrijos. There were other sectors of society who joined to this repudiation as well, leaving a landmark in the history of social movements in Panama. In Chiriqui, the transformational process of the Reforma Educativa arose gremial concerns and in its turn this made possible to consolidate teachers' common grounds all based on gremial interests. In Chiriqui's region the course of actions focused on founding, though, temporally the Movimiento 22 de Septiembre. Eventually, the movement became La Asociacion de Educadores Chirícanos. Ever since, this has occupied an influential stand in making decision over teachers matters and the government policies.
