Sumario: Control of conventionality is a mechanism that the Inter-American Court of human rights, in the event that domestic law is incompatible with the American Convention on human rights and other treaties that make part of the Inter-American system, conducting a review of policy confrontation, in a specific case, dictating a court ruling and ordering modification, repeal, override or reform of internal practices, or standards as appropriate, protecting the rights of the person human, with the objective of ensuring the supremacy of the American Convention of human rights.
