Sumario: The main purpose of this research, which is the family factor associated with juvenile delinquency in the El Alba neighborhood, is to demonstrate that there is an association between the family factor and juvenile delinquency, identifying what types of family factors affect the personality of individuals and determine what are the reasons that lead young people to commit crimes in this neighborhood. In the methodological framework, the non-experimental transversal design of action research can be observed, the type of study has a mixed approach, with a descriptive, correlational and explanatory scope. The population participating in the study were the inhabitants of the El Alba neighborhood located in David Chiriquí, the sample of 66 individuals to whom a survey was applied to find out the perception of the problem. As a result of this research, it was possible to demonstrate that there is an association between the family factor and juvenile delinquency, determining that the types of family factors that mostly affect the personality of individuals are domestic violence, family disintegration, and family consumption patterns. Drugs and alcohol, family conflict, lack of discipline and family supervision and that the reasons that have the highest percentage of leading young people to commit a crime were: drug use, abandonment of parents, mistreatment by family members and sexual abuse.
