Sumario: The estimation of the useful life of an equipment of power like it is a power transformer, major cobra importance nowadays, especially when one wants to know how much is the residual life of the same one and the degree is able to project deterioration of the equipment depending on economic, technical terms and electrical parameters of functioning. The following technical note details the beginning and foundations of the measurement of Partial unloads in power transformers. This one is a test of high not destructive tension, in which it is possible to evaluate and quantify the degree of deterioration of dielectrics. They make clear in addition, the electrical concepts and dielectrics that it is behind the test and an analysis and comparison is done according to the international procedure IEC and IEEE, applicable to the most valuable assets of a system of power: Power transformers.
