The present project was developed in the company El Lagar San Joaquín. Part of the characteristics of the organization and the activities carried out by the collaborators of El Lagar San Joaquín generate different risks, among them security risks, as well as the handling of loads, which can generate material damage, human and economic losses; For these reasons, the project developed a program for the prevention of safety risks and the handling of ergonomic loads.
Initially, the current situation of the branch was analyzed, identifying dangers that affect the security of the collaborators and the evaluation of the risks associated to them, for this several tools were applied, among them are: interviews, checklists, observations structured, the Rosa method, in addition to the REBA method and the NIOSH equation, for the assessment of risks when handling materials manually. Then, with the results obtained, a cause-effect diagram was made to visualize what the causes that cause accidents in the branch are and, finally, we proceeded to estimate the levels of risks through the risk matrix INTE 31-06-07: 2011 with the help of a focus group.
Through this study, it was possible to determine the needs to formulate a program for the prevention of safety risks and handling of ergonomic loads, which includes engineering and administrative designs based on national and international regulations.
