Sumario: ABSTRACT This thesis study was carried out in the Comprehensive Care Centers of the Social Welfare Secretariat of the South Western Region of Guatemala, educational institutions that offer their services free of charge to children ranging from 8 months to 12 years. One of the main services offered by these institutions is the Early Stimulation Program. The research was carried out by immersing the researcher in the institutional context of the CAIs operating in the southwest of Guatemala. The quality of execution of the Early Stimulation program was investigated, for which a specific bibliography was consulted regarding the problem, interviewing the directors, surveying the teaching staff, reviewing and verifying documentation on the early stimulation program. The ABC psychometric test was applied to children to measure the level of early stimulation and observe the results of their learning achieved, with the implementation of the early stimulation program in these centers. To evaluate the achievements of the current implementation of the Early Stimulation program, the ABC test of the Brazilian psychologist Lourenco Filho was applied to preschool students, which is designed with 8 sub-tests that evaluate 10 areas involved in learning literacy and therefore emphasizes the level of stimulation of students who are in the pre-school level. The early stimulation programs of the Comprehensive Care Centers located in San Juan Bautista and Retalhuleu reported a lower level of readiness in reading and writing, according to the normal parameters expected, because the preschools of both institutions showed low development of integral formation as to initiate the primary level of education, since according to the ABC test they have 50% and 40% of maturation in the reading and writing process, respectively. For their part, the children of the Comprehensive Care Center of Mazatenango have a 90% readiness, which is reflected by the reading and writing skills they demonstrated, according to the results of the ABC test application.
