Sumario: In this study, it was researched the main strategies used in English classes through the use of technology and how these benefit students learning. The study also addresses the types of feedback practiced by the teacher during listening skills influence as well as didactic material in the development of listening skills. Data were gathered through classroom observation, survey for students, questionnaires and interview for teacher. Their responses were analyzed through graphs and it was used for getting information about the effectiveness and efficiency of work carried out by the teacher. The results showed that the students used a narrow range of listening strategies which mostly belong to memory and cognitive strategies groups; However, the use of technology demostred to be effective in students learning, students expressed immediate oral feedback when practicing listening activities and provided that didactic resources are essential to ensure effective communication. To conclude the listening strategies applied in English classes are not enough to promote listening skills and language competence even though feedback is appropriate. A wide variety of strategies use and more didactic resources are needed to improve students learning.
