This study is titled sociocultural factors associated with non-attendance to growth and development controls in the Alto Quiel community, 2019, whose main objective is to analyze the association between sociocultural factors with non-attendance to growth control and development in the Alto Quiel community, Boquete, during the year 2019. This was possible by identifying the social and cultural factors in the parents, evaluating the perception they have regarding growth and development controls, establishing the frequency assistance of children under five to health checks.
The research design used was non-experimental cross-sectional. The type of study according to its approach was quantitative, according to its descriptive and correlational scope. The sample was made up of mothers or guardians of children under five from the Alto Quiel community in Boquete. The survey technique was used to collect the data. As an instrument, a questionnaire with closed questions.
With the results obtained, it was shown that there is a wide relationship between the social and cultural factors of families with the lack of attendance at growth controls. Age, educational level, changes of residence, race among others stand out. |
