Sumario: The article illustrates the changes that express the valuation of the academic formation in the University of Costa Rica of students and faculties in relation to the link of the institution with the national reality. The formation is valued of general way like “very good†; nevertheless, respect to relation with the Costa Rican context, values it like “good†. Added to this, the courses that institutionally tie with the task of articulating the formation with the context received a general valuation of “regular†. It is indicated as well that to the interior of the university particulardifferences between faculties and races of origin of the consulted person exist.
