Summary: This article analyses different proposals for teaching pronunciation by studying four texts aimed at teaching spanish as a second language. first, the analysis is based on the proposal of the traditional method, it later addresses the audiolingual method, and it concludes with a deep study of the communicative approach proposals. finally, it presents the results based on the comparison of these four didactic proposals taking into account the plan curricular del instituto cervantes and marco común europeo para las lenguas guidelines.
