Sumario: The Burn out Syndrome refers to state mental and physical exhaustion in people exposed to great deals of stress, for instance: nurses. The purpose of our research has been to determine the regularity of the Burnout Syndrome and its symptoms (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and lack of personal achievement) among the nursing staff. A quality research was conducted among nurses. All the information was gathered in a questionnaire and a non participant observation made by the researchers. In the investigation six aspects were considered to evaluate the risk factors of the Syndrome: personal information, work satisfaction, emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment and environment. 15 nurses were interviewed (6 males and 9 females). The level of daily stress in the staff could burn out the care for the patients. Constantly nurses have to deal with loads of stress, which, should be managed properly for a better performance at work.
