Summary: For more than two centuries, the hours of the day have displaced the seasons as subject matter of artistic and literary representation. It is a theme in use in the urban scenes of the international costumbrism of the 19th century, in someone suites of impressionist paintings and in the so called urban symphonies, avant garde documentaries of the twenties in the 20th century. This theme emphasizes the fleetingness of the daily urban temporality and, in most cases, it establishes that in the street space every tour counts with their own activities and social types.
