Pontaque Garcia, Pedro Transporte telepeaje sistemas ruta Installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems on Route 27 revolutionized transport infrastructure in Costa Rica.For the first time such systems were installed in a Costa Rican path as integral equipment, that collect and provide information 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.At Route 27 is installed a fiber optic network, that connects all elements of the system such as mobile cameras that are used to determine the state of the road,dynamic message signs to deliver information to users, data capture stations that not only count vehicles but that measure speed, detect congestion and generate alerts if vehicles travel in opposite direction.The installation was mainly for functional reasons as the concessionaire is responsible for the road so wants to know what happens to manage and plan events in the best way possible with the lower cost.The extension of these technologies used by the concessionaire to others projects in the country would contribute to show the real benefits of the concession system, that has not only invest and built the project itself but also bring new procedures and technologies to the country that makes this more efficient, productive and give a bigger quality of live to citizens. La instalación de Sistemas Inteligentes de Transporte en la Ruta 27 supuso una verdadera revolución en la infraestructura de transporte en Costa Rica.Por primera vez se instalan sistemas de este tipo en una ruta costarricense como equipamiento integral, interconectados, recogiendo y entregando información 24 horas al día los 365 días del año.En La ruta 27 se instaló una red de fibra óptica, que conecta todos los elementos del sistema como son cámaras móviles que son utilizadas para conocer el estado de la carretera, paneles de mensajería variable con el objeto de entregar información al usuario, estaciones de toma de datos que no solo cuentan los vehículos, sino que miden la velocidad, detectan congestión y generan alerta al producirse circulación de vehículos en contravía.La instalación respondió principalmente una necesidad funcional: elconcesionario es el responsable de la carretera, por lo que quiere saber lo que sucede, de esa manera poder gestionar los sucesos y planificar de la mejor manera posible con el menor costo.La incorporación de las tecnologías implementadas por el  concesionario al resto de la infraestructura del país contribuiría a que se vieran los verdaderos beneficios del sistema concesional que no solo ha atraído inversión al país, la construcción de los proyectos en particular, sino que trae procedimientos y tecnología que hace que éste sea más eficiente, productivo y proporcione mayor calidad de vida a sus habitantes. 2015-05-28T18:21:45Z 2015-05-28T18:21:45Z 2014-05-13 14:13:39 2015-05-28T18:21:45Z info:eu-repo/semantics/article info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion http://revistas.ucr.ac.cr/index.php/vial/article/view/14562 http://hdl.handle.net/10669/13613 es Infraestructura Vial Vol. 16 Núm. 27 44-46 application/pdf
